Team EndoFound Rock N Roll D.C. Marathon

Event Branding + Marketing Design

Just after I wrapped up their NYC marathon project, the Endometriosis Foundation of America was ready to start work on their next marathon in Washington, D.C. They loved the work I did for them for their Team Endo NYC Marathon design, which they wanted to continue in the same design aesthetic but make it unique for the team running in the marathon in the nation's capital.

Amber has been a joy to work with for all of our design needs. For our most recent fundraiser, she created a unique branding for the event that was in line with our overall branding and seamlessly integrated the necessary information. She is truly a professional and responds very quickly and effectively to feedback.

Tying the running teams together but with branding unique to their specific marathon

Working with the previous marathon design, but making it unique for a new city

The team at Endometriosis Foundation of America really liked the branding work I did for them for their previous running team for the NYC Marathon, that they wanted to incorporate some of those design elements into this new branding project along with giving it some D.C. personalized touches.

I designed a new set of graphics for their D.C Marathon while keeping the yellow (for endometriosis awareness), purple (their brand color), and utilized the D.C. skyline. In addition, I added a stylized flair in the background along with stars on the skyline to represent "stars and stripes" as a theme to tie into our nation's capitol.

Making a few edits really helped make the new branding really shine

After sending the initial concepts, they really liked the tie in to the previous marathon branding but wanted to enhance it a bit more. They requested specific buildings be added to the skyline that is more characteristic of Washington, D.C., along with a font change, some text changes, and incorporating more of their brand color.

With these minor changes, it helped make the final branding more complete and eye-catching as they used them throughout their social media campaign. For the final version I also created a frame graphic that they could utilize to showcase the runners on the team for them to use on their own social media accounts as well.

Overall this branding feels very Washington, D.C. without being over patriotic, keeps with previous marathon branding I've done for them, and keeps their branding tied into the graphics as well.
