Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) reached out to me to help them create branding for their team, who were fundraising and running in the New York City Marathon. They wanted branded graphics they could use to help promote their team, the individual runners, and to increase support through social media. Using my experience in working with them on previous similar projects, I got to work on Team EndoFound's branding for their New York City Marathon team.

When EndoFound reached out, they requested that their branding include their signature purple brand color, yellow/gold for endometriosis awareness, a distinct color and font that was not used as part of EndoFound's branding, and possibly some sort of metal icon if possible.
One requirement of their branding for their Team EndoFound branding was that we could not use any branding, logos, or name so that their branding didn't have to go through the NYC Marathon approval process.
With all this in mind, I got to work on a quick initial branding concept (due to time constraints) and presented this initial concept, which included heavy use of the New York City skyline, use of their signature purple along with various shades and tints, and a touch of yellow/gold to represent awareness.
After presenting the initial concept, we discussed how to help make the branding more dynamic and incorporate more of the elements they were looking for. Specifically, we worked to bring out more of the skyline by making it varying shades of gold, created a true logo by adding a medal icon, and taking my suggestion about adding teal as another color to help add dimension. In addition, they requested more iconic skyline elements for New York City, including the Statue of Liberty and one of the NYC bridges since that is iconic to the marathon itself. I also worked more fleshing out the design by adding some gradients and textures.
A couple of revision rounds later and the final branding and logo design was complete. This image was one of their general social media graphics which showcases the branding well.
Once we finalized the branding and logo design, they wanted the new branding used to create a series of social media posts and templates they could use for marketing and promotion. They needed one general graphic (left column), one call to action graphic (center column), and one that would feature a runner with their information (right column). They also requested these be delivered in different sizes ready to share on social media.
The branding project wrapped up with file delivery and templates so that they could use them for additional runners and their bios for sharing and promoting on social media. EndoFound has been using this branding for their NYC Marathon team for five years running (pun intended).
